Ex-Santa Margarita and Nebraska quarterback Johnny Stanton, who starred this fall at Saddleback College, signed Wednesday with UNLV, the Gauchos football program announced.
Stanton earned team MVP and National Division Southern League offensive player of the year honors this past season.
In other Saddleback College recruiting news, former San Juan Hills offensive lineman Jake Nelson signed with Nevada while linebacker Anthony Hickey signed with University of Texas-San Antonio.
