Stanton had quite a night Friday in the CIF State Division I bowl game. The junior quarterback scored six touchdowns (two rushing and four passing) to lead the Eagles to a 42-37 victory over Bellarmine Prep of San Jose. Stanton’s final 1-yard rushing score gave the Eagles the lead with 16 seconds left. He completed 14 of 25 passes for 306 yards. He accounted for 375 of Santa Margarita’s 407 yards. He rushed for 69 yards.
