The 6-foot-3, 210-pound right-hander pitched two shutouts in the Loara Tournament and was selected tournament MVP. The senior shut out Cypress on two hits with seven strikeouts in the semifinals. He had six strikeouts in a first-round win over Irvine. Spooner has not committed to a college.
