Tomas Soto, a 6-foot-4 junior sophomore basketball player, has withdrawn from Saddleback Valley Christian and enrolled at Santa Margarita, where he became eligible this week.
Soto played in 16 games for Saddleback Valley Christian this season and was the Warriors’ second-leading scorer at 10 points a game.
MAGNOLIA TO HONOR WALIN
The Magnolia basketball court is to be named today in honor of retired coach Al Walin, who coached Magnolia to 401 wins in his career there. The ceremony coincides with Magnolia’s boys basketball home game today against Century.
PICKLERS CELEBRATION AT SAVANNA
Brad and Scott Pickler, Cypress College softball and baseball coaches, respectively, will be inducted into the Savanna Athletics Hall at halftime of Friday night’s boys basketball game.
