O.C. SOFTBALL TOP 10

1. Los Alamitos, 9-2

The Griffins topped Mission Viejo last week and will open league play Thursday when they host Huntington Beach.

2. Mission Viejo, 7-4

Tough week ahead for the Diablos who open league play with games against Aliso Niguel and Capistrano Valley before a Saturday showdown with La Habra.

3. La Habra, 7-4

The Highlanders will get a second crack at Mission Viejo on Saturday, having lost to the Diablos by two runs earlier this month.

4. Orange Lutheran, 9-2

After a two-week break, the Lancers scored 22 total runs in a doubleheader sweep of St. Anthony over the weekend.

5. Villa Park, 10-3

The Spartans are ranked No. 2 in the CIF-SS Division 2 poll.

6. Mater Dei, 11-3

The Monarchs will host unbeaten Norco on Tuesday afternoon at Thornton Park.

7. Pacifica, 6-5

The Mariners have dropped three in a row to a trio of quality opponents – Mission Viejo, Mater Dei and Gahr.

8. Santa Margarita, 14-2

The Eagles have reeled off four wins in a row, each coming by a single run.

9. Capistrano Valley, 8-3

The Cougars will play San Clemente and Mission Viejo this week to open South Coast League play.

10. Savanna, 12-1

The Rebels topped Tesoro and Fullerton Saturday to advance to the semifinals of its own tournament.
