Playing close to 400 miles away from home, the Royals sophomore proved to be one of the most dangerous players on the pitch in last week’s Arizona Soccer Showcase. LaCasto scored a team-high five goals over three days of play, leading the Royals to an appearance in the tournament’s quarterfinals. Rosary went 2-1-1 in the showcase, its lone loss coming to Hamilton High of Chandler (AZ) – the state’s fourth-ranked squad.
