The LSU-bound senior captured the 100-yard backstroke in a meet-record 48.76 — fourth-fastest in Orange county history — and split a swift 45.03 anchor in the 400 free relay to help the Chargers capture the title at Mt. SAC Winterfest Championships. Smith also finished second in the 200 free (1:43.79).
