Among the athletes: Santa Margarita junior pole vaulter Kaitlyn Merritt, who was Orange County girls track and field athelte of the year last season. She set a national sophomore record of 13-8 at the Arcadia Invitational last season.
Myles Hawkins of Orange Lutheran He earned Register All-County honors in the high jump, long jump and triple jump in 2013. He signed a letter of intent with Arizona.
Mater Dei sprinter Curtis Godin’s 10.71 is the fastest 100 time in the Southern Section at this very-early point of the season. He signed with Wake Forest.
San Clemente has distance runners Melissa Eisele and 200 and 400 standout Jessica Erickson. Eisele signed with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Erickson with Westmont.
The meet is at 5:30 p.m. today at San Clemente High. The first event is the girls 4X100 relay.
