As the Tillers started 2-0 in the Tustin/Estancia Classic tournament, Shorts scored 17 points with four assists and four steals against Calvary Chapel and scored 16 points with five assists and three steals against Huntington Beach. A 5-foot-9 senior point guard, Shorts shot 67 percent over the two games. He is averaging 19 points a game this season. Shorts was All-Empire League first team last year.
