Shackleford is a two-sport star for the Cougars. He was a member of the varsity football team the past two seasons, playing three positions (defensive tackle, fullback and long snapper). This is his fourth year on the varsity wrestling team. He earned Scholar-Athlete honors (3.5 GPA or higher) in each of his four years at the school. Shackleford is enrolled in AP biology, AP calculus, AP government and AP chemistry. He is concurrently enrolled at Irvine Valley College and will complete his AA in May with a major in social and behavioral sciences. He has a 3.5 GPA and 68 units at IVC. Shackleford was a member of the Capistrano Valley’s Junior Honor Court last year. He will begin attending Southern Oregon University in the fall and plans to major in criminology and criminal justice.
