MAGNOLIA SENTINELS

Last season: 5-5 overall, 3-2 league
Scouting report: The Sentinels feature a pair of dynamic and powerful running backs in seniors Kalolo and Filipo Pangia. Kalolo rushed for 361 yards and five TDs last year. He should be able to improve dramatically on those numbers behind an offensive line that returns all five starters. The entire defensive line is back too, including senior defensive end Montez De Marco (6-2, 220), who had six sacks and eights tackles for loss last season. He makes his debut this season as the Sentinels’ quarterback. The Sentinels return only one receiver, Brandon Morales, who hauled in 15 catches for 159 yards last season.
Bottom line: Having experience at key positions makes the Sentinels a playoff contender. Their success will depend on how quickly they can answer their questions at quarterback and receiver.
