O.C. TOP 10

(Records through Sunday)

1. Mater Dei, 25-1

The Monarchs earned the top seed in the Open Division, no surprise being as they’ve reeled off 22 straight games.

2. Brea Olinda, 22-3

The Ladycats play Centennial of Corona on Wednesday night, a team it previously beat, 57-50, back on Dec. 19.

3. Troy, 19-8

No Open Division for the Warriors this year. They were named the No. 2 seed on Div. 1A.

4. JSerra, 20-6

The Lions have five different players who have notched at least one 20-point game this season. Great depth for Division 4AA’s No. 1 overall seed.

5. El Dorado, 20-7

The Golden Hawks are as dangerous a 2-seed as there is this postseason. A semifinal meeting against Foothill in Div. 3AA would make for one of the most entertaining games of the playoffs.

6. Foothill, 21-5

The Knights closed out the regular season in style, topping No. 2 Brea Olinda at home, 51-48.

7. Orange Lutheran, 18-8

The Lancers were one of three Trinity League teams to earn a No. 1 seed, as they were awarded the top slot in Division 3A .

8. Fairmont Prep, 20-4

The Huskies appear to be peaking at just the right time. They avenged a five-point loss to Orangewood Academy with an impressive 29-point win in the rematch.

9. Orangewood Academy, 22-4

The Spartans appear to be on a crash course with Ribet Academy in the 5A bracket, the team that beat them by 20 in the finals last season.

10. San Clemente, 16-7

The Tritons have reeled off eight straight wins and closed out the regular season scoring 87 points in two of its last three games.
