OC Varsity’s top five players to watch this season:

TOP PLAYERS TO WATCH

Meghan McClure, Santa Margarita, Sr., OH: The Stanford commit is one of the county’s top offensive threats. McClure was first-team All-County and All-CIF last season, and she was the Trinity League MVP.

Shannon Scully, Mater Dei, Sr., OH: Her all-around game proved to be instrumental last season as the Monarchs won their first CIF title since 2003. The Utah commit was first-team All-County.

Camryn Sanchez, Huntington Beach, Sr., OH: Sanchez, a four-year starter, leads a strong returning nucleus for the Oilers. She was second-team All-County last season and committed to UCLA for sand volleyball.

Devon Chang, Santa Margarita, Jr., Setter: The Eagles are in good hands with the Chang running the show. The Cal commit finished last season with second-team All-County and first-team All-CIF honors.

Mima Mirkovic, Woodbridge, Sr., OH: Mirkovic returned from an injury and posted a strong junior season that included leading the Warriors a second-place finish in the Pacific Coast League. She earned third-team All-County honors.
