O.C. PLAYERS TO WATCH
Marko Asic, Dana Hills, Sr.: The sharp-shooting attacker will be counted on heavily but will be supported by rising junior Bennett Williams.
Jack Dodson, Laguna Beach, Sr.: The utility player leads a deep roster, which includes his Orange Coast League co-MVP last season, Cade Baldridge.
Chase Hamming, San Clemente, Sr.: After scoring 142 goals last season, he helped Orange County Water Polo Club claim the 18-and-under bronze at Junior Olympics.
Chas Hornecker, Foothill, Jr.: The attacker has been called “dynamic” because of his abilities to drive and shoot.
Nick Silvers, Mater Dei, Sr.: The Monarchs might have more balanced scoring this season, but Silvers and Junior Olympics MVP Nick Lavayen are field players to watch.
Max Weber, Servite, Sr.: The 2-meter man netted 104 goals last season en route to first-team All-County honors.
Alex Wolf, Huntington Beach, Sr.: The goalie showed his progress in helping the U.S. capture gold at the Junior Pan American Games during the summer.
Jonathan Van De Velde, Mater Dei, Sr.: The first-year starting goalie has big shoes to fill in replacing McQuin Baron, now at USC, but impressed during the summer.
