2011 All-County girls tennis team
Slide show: Orange County's top girls tennis players and coach for the 2011 season were selected and honored as OCVarsity's 2011 All-County girls tennis team. Click through the slide show to find information on each of the members of the first team and a list of the honorable mention selections.
Coach of the year
John Kessler
University
Kessler led the University girls to their highest peaks in school history this season. Among the firsts: a top ranking in the OCVarsity.com weekly poll and a trip to the CIF-SS Division 1 finals. Kessler got to the finals by upsetting top-ranked Campbell Hall, sweeping them in all nine doubles sets. Without any true singles stars, University won with depth and outstanding doubles play.

Jessica Perez
Dana Hills, junior

First team
Sophia Bott
San Clemente, senior
Bott finished second in the ultra-competitive South Coast League singles championship. In the CIF-SS individual tournament, Bott advanced to the quarterfinals, where she lost for only the fourth time all season.
Mayci Jones
Tesoro, junior
Jones went 34-3 this season, winning the singles championship in the South Coast League.
Kyra Scott
University, senior
Scott captained the Trojans during their great season, going undefeated in the Pacific Coast League. In the league championships, Scott and freshman Yuki Asami won the doubles crown.
Alyssa Smith
Dana Hills, junior
Dana Hills No. 1 singles player, Smith went 28-1 in helping lead the Dolphins to the CIF-SS Division 1 crown.
Cassidy Spearman
Dana Hills, junior
Spearman reached the semifinals of the CIF-SS doubles tournament, and despite playing with multiple partners throughout the season, Spearman was rock solid during the Dolphins' title run in the team tournament.
Sarah Stadfelt
Edison, senior
Stadfelt went 56-1 in her senior season, going a perfect 30-0 on her way to the Sunset League singles championship.
Mazy Watrous
El Toro, senior
Watrous, who will play for Colorado next season, lost only once during the regular season. She advanced to the final 16 of the CIF-SS individual tournament.
First team doubles
Michele Cyrus and Joanne David
El Dorado
David and Cyrus went 70-7 on the season, finishing the year undefeated in their league. The duo also advanced to the round of 16 in the CIF-SS doubles tournament.
Caroline Kolln and Shannon Theisen
University
Kolln and Theisen finished the season undefeated in league play. Their consistent winning was a major reason for University's tremendous success this season.
Danielle Pham and Nassim Radmehr
University
Radmehr and Pham had a spectacular year, losing only one set during the regular season. The duo finished the year undefeated in the Pacific Coast League.
