Running back Koa Todd and quarterback George Krantz led the way as St. Margaret’s football team started its season with a 41-7 victory over Hawaii Prep on Saturday in Kamuela, Hawaii.

The Tartans, who were 9-3 last season, built a 20-0 lead by halftime, and added three more touchdowns in the third quarter to secure the victory.

Todd carried 20 times for 243 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Todd scored both of his touchdowns in the first half. His first one came on a 43-yard run, and he later scored on a 13-yard run. He had an 80-yard run in the first half, too. 

Krantz ran 10 yards for a touchdown late in the second quarter to put St. Margaret’s ahead 20-0.

The Tartans extended their lead in the third quarter when Krantz connect with Auston Locke with a 32-yard touchdown pass.

Todd scored on a 13-yard run in the third quarter to give the Tartans a 41-0 lead.

St. Margaret’s scored its first touchdown on a fumble recovery by Nick Amoukhteh on defense.
