Savanna’s athletic department is trying to solve a problem that last came up more than four decades ago: Who will coach the school’s tennis teams?
Eric Hansen had been the school’s tennis coach since 1969, but he retired from coaching during the summer.
Now the school is looking for a replacement for him to coach the girls, who start their season in the coming weeks, as well as the boys.

Hansen was inducted into the Savanna athletic Hall of Fame in January of 2014. The tennis courts were named in his honor in 2004.
Hansen’s teams won 25 Orange League titles and accumulated 32 league singles titles and 29 league doubles titles.
