Andrew Frohner

San Clemente High School

The junior free safety made a touchdown-saving tackle on fourth-and-goal from the Tritons 5 with 1:16 left in the fourth quarter and intercepted a pass in the end zone earlier in the fourth to help San Clemente defeat Trabuco Hills, 42-35, to capture at least a share of the Sea View League title. Frohner (5-10, 170) finished with six total tackles and a pass deflection but made his two highlight plays defending Oregon commit Jacob Breeland (6-5, 230). “It was a battle of David vs. Goliath,” San Clemente coach Jaime Ortiz said. “Thankfully, Andrew had two rocks left with his interception and the game-saving tackle at the end.”
