DIVISION 6

2014 champion: Capistrano Valley Christian

Top four seeded teams: 1. Sage Hill (18-6); 2. Crean Lutheran (20-9); 3. Desert Christian of Lancaster (18-6); 4. Pasadena Poly (14-6).

O.C. teams: Crean Lutheran (20-9); Oxford Academy (13-15); Sage Hill (18-6); St. Margaret’s (9-12).

Analysis: The only county teams in this division are Academy League teams. With two Academy teams occupying the division’s Nos. 1 and 2 seeds, that should be very informative as to how good the league is. Sage Hill, which went 12-0 in the league, has outstanding pitching. The Lightening have a team ERA of 1.58. Sophomore Brett Super has lived up to his last name, taking an 8-0 record and 0.83 ERA into the playoffs. Crean finished second with a 9-3 league record. The Saints are averaging eight runs a game. This division has teams that have been prominent in lower-division baseball for a long time, including Desert Christian of Lancaster and 2014 Division 7 champion Nuview Bridge of Nuevo.
