SANTA ANA – Saddleback picked up its second victory of the season after blanking Century, 41-0, in a nonleague matchup Friday night at Santa Ana Stadium.

The Roadrunners (2-3) scored 11/2 minutes into the contest when wide receiver Emilio Garcia pulled in a 9-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Johnny Rojas.

After the rapid 7-0 start, Saddleback fullback Chris Rios marched into the end zone from 38 yards out on the team’s second possession, making it a 14-0 Roadrunner lead after 12 minutes of play.

Following the half, Rojas threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Garcia for the Roadrunners’ second scoring connection of the night, making it a 21-0 lead for Saddleback with 5:38 left to play in the third quarter.

Saddleback running back Daniel Porras capped off the victory with a 16-yard touchdown dash in the fourth quarter with 2:58 left.

Porras led both teams in rushing with 120 yards on 21 carries.

Chris Rios led a Roadrunners defense that forced two turnovers.
