CIF Southern California Regionals, Second round (all games 6 p.m.)

Division II: La Mirada (27-5) at Canyon (24-9). La Mirada lost to Compton in the CIF-Southern Section 2A semifinals. Canyon is 2AA champion. Including its 98-65 win over Kearny in the regionals first round Wednesday, Canyon has scored 201 points over its past two games. La Mirada beat Canyon, 61-56, in an Orange Holiday Classic semifinal in late December. The winner of this game plays the Compton-Hanford winner in the semifinals Tuesday.

Division 3: Corona del Mar (25-7) at Damien of La Verne (25-5). Corona del Mar is on the road again in the regionals after winning at El Cajon Valley in the first round Wednesday, 46-33. CdM lost to Beverly Hills in the CIF-SS 3A final. Damien played in the Open Division: a first-round loss to Orange Lutheran; a consolation second-round win ove Alemany; a consolation semifinals loss to Redondo. Damien is No. 17 in the CalHiSports.com California top 20. The winner plays the Beverly Hills-Cantwell Sacred Heart winnner in the semifinals.

Division 3: Sonora (29-4) at Alemany of Mission Hills (22-8). CIF-SS 3AA champion Sonora beat Valhalla by a lot, 101-74, in the regionals first round Wednesday. Alemany beat West Bakersfield 72-49. Alemany played in the CIF-SS Open Division. It lost to Centennial of Corona in the first round and to Damien in the consolation second round.The winner plays the Gahr-Cathedral winner in the semifinals.

Division 6: Orangewood Academy (22-12) at Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth (22-4): Orangewood, CIF-SS Division 6 champion, won a regionals first-round home game against Caruthers, 68-63. Sierra Canyon, No. 6 in the state top 20, played in the Open Division of the CIF-SS playoffs. It beat St. John Bosco in the first round and lost to Etiwanda by five points in the second round. The winner plays the St. Benard-Viewpoint winner in the semifinals.

Admission to second-round games is $9 for adults, $5 for students with valid student ID and $5 for children 13 and younger and for senior citizens 65 and older.
