Coach Mark Schubert, who built the Mission Viejo Nadadores into a world-renowned swimming club in the 1970s and 1980s, has been selected to retake the reins of the program in early 2018, Nadadores head coach Bill Rose said Monday.
Schubert, now at Golden West Swim Club, will become the Nadadores’ associate head coach on Oct. 15 and replace Rose as head coach after this retirement on Dec. 31, 2017.
Schubert, 67, was expected to inform his Golden West swimmers on Monday.
