St. John Bosco remains atop this week’s SoCal Varsity Top 20 poll but there’s plenty of intriguing movement to watch below as the Pac-5 Division semifinals approach.

Centennial of Corona, coming off a second-round upset of Mater Dei, takes over at the No. 2 spot and will play new No. 4, Bishop Amat, in the semifinals Friday. The Lancers upset JSerra in the second round last week. Centennial will play host to Bishop Amat on Friday.

The Braves’ semifinal foe, Long Beach Poly, is ranked third. Their semifinal is set for Cerritos College on Friday.

JSerra and Mater Dei dropped to fifth and sixth, respectively.

Mission Viejo has climbed to No. 10 heading into its semifinal Friday against visiting Great Oak of Temecula, which debuts at No. 18.
