Mission Viejo's Redfield commits to Notre Dame

Mission Viejo defensive back Max Redfield, who was the Register's All-County defensive player of the year for 2012, told the Register on Friday night that he has committed to Notre Dame.
The 6-foot, 185-pound senior sent a text announcing his decision from the Under-Armour All-American Game in Florida.
Redfield was also considering USC and Ohio State.
He originally committed to USC in January 2012, but decommitted shortly after making a visit to Notre Dame in October.
