Alyssa Ransom
Trabuco Hills High School
The senior has made the conversion of being a goalie last year to being an attack player well this season, according to Coach Scott Leong.
Ransom led the No. 6-ranked Mustangs to two victories on Saturday. Trabuco Hills defeated Mira Costa, 15-3 and Oak Park, 14-3. Against Mira Costa, she had two assists and in the victory over Oak Park, Ransom had four goals and one assist. Ransom also had two goals in a 13-12 overtime loss to El Toro.
“She exemplifies want we want on the field: aggressiveness, anticipating and capitalizing on the opponent’s mistakes, driving to goal with second and third efforts, and team play with transition passing and assists,” Leong said. “She has come a long way from playing three years as a goalie, to becoming an effective attacker just this season in a short amount of time.”
