A second team all-league infielder for the Eagles, Purgason has displayed consistent excellence in her studies and around her school and local community. She is currently taking Honors Spanish 4, AP Government, AP Statistics, AP Literature/Composition, Honors Bible, Physics, and Strength and Fitness. She serves as vice president of the school’s California Scholastic Federation, the National Honor Society, and the National Spanish Honor Society. Purgason, who is also a member of the National English Honor Society, volunteers as a Sunday school teacher at Pacific Coast Church in San Clemente. She will attend UCLA next fall and major in Biochemistry.
