The Cougars quarterback threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns as Capistrano Valley defeated third-seeded La Habra, 44-42, in a Southwest Division first-round playoff game. Pruett, a 6-foot-1 and 190-pounds senior, has complated 61 percent of his passes and is sixth in county passing yardage with 2,576 yards. Pruett has 24 touchdown passes.
