A water polo program outside the Orange County Top 10 captured one of the biggest frosh-soph tournaments over the weekend. The program on the rise?
The 11th-seeded Warriors captured the El Toro-hosted Charger Cup on Saturday, an 18-team tournament that featured programs such as Corona del Mar, San Clemente, Foothill, Mater Dei, Orange Lutheran and Newport Harbor.
Woodbridge'shard-fought title included a 6-5 victory against top-seeded CdM in the semifinals and a 9-8 triumph against Mater Dei in the finals.
Corona del Mar defeated Dana Hills, 12-5, for third place.
