The number of county teams has dwindled to nine.

There is a chance that there could only be three after this weekend.

Welcome to the semifinals, where every mistake is magnified and every drive is crucial.

The stage is set for another big week.

Can the Orange Lutheran defense slow another high-powered offense?

Will Canyon find a way to slow Anthony Wilkerson and the Tustin Tillers?

Will St. Margaret’s winning streak hit 41?

These are just some of the questions that I have as we prepare for the CIF-SS semifinals. Here is my look at the six games involving county schools and a bonus glance at the Long Beach Poly-Lakewood clash in the non-county Pac-5 semifinal:

Prview: Tesoro vs. Orange Lutheran

Preview: Tustin vs. Canyon

Preview: Trabuco Hills vs. La Habra

Preview: Corona del Mar vs. Mayfair

Preview: Laguna Hills vs. Norwalk

Preview: St. Margaret's vs. Maranatha

Bonus preview: Long Beach Poly vs. Lakewood
