Arrowhead Christian of Relands announced the hiring of Eric Preszler as football coach on Wednesday.

Preszler spent the last two seasons as coach at Capistrano Valley Christian, guiding the Eagles to an 11-10 record in his tenure.

He replaces John Beck, who resigned after six seasons at Arrowhead Christian.

“When we met Coach Preszler, I could see that he was a good fit philosophically for how we want to build our football program,” ACA principal Brian Bell said in a statement. “He has high expectations for his players, but he works to develop a strong mutual respect with them.”

Preszler also served as Athletic Director at Capistrano Valley Christian and was previously an assistant football coach at Huntington Beach.

“He’s young, energetic, and has strong coaching experience,” ACA athletic director Russell DeKock said in the statement. “It was obvious that he was going to be a top candidate for the position from the start.”

ACA was 3-7 last season but went 12-2 in 2014 and reached the CIF-Southern Section Northwest Division championship game. Overall the Eagles were 31-44 in six seasons under Beck.
