Pone, a senior second baseman, is one of the leading hitters for the Spartans this season. She’s also a member of the Villa Park golf team. She was team captain for three years, earning top scholar athlete honors in both sports. Pone enrolled in Photography 1, Honors Physiology, AP Economics, AP English Literature and AP Calculus AB. She’s also heavily involved on campus participating in National Honor Society, Assisteens, Feminist Association and others. Pone has also received the Coach’s award for the Spartans. Pone will be attending UC Santa Barbara in the fall to study Bio-Psychology in hopes of becoming either a veterinarian or pediatric nurse.
