CONNOLLY’S COMMENTS: You need to start at the top with St. Anthony. The Saints spent the entirety of the year on the Open Division watch list, and were one of the 19 finalists for the Southern Section’s elite bracket. Their 15-11 record won’t wow anyone, but considering one of those wins came against Long Beach Poly – the No. 1 seed in the Open Division – you have to consider the Saints the overwhelming favorites. . . . Cantwell Sacred Heart is another quality opponent that would love a rematch with St. Anthony in the finals. . . . Sage Hill, Whittier Christian and St. Margaret’s face an uphill battle in this bracket.
