Pacifica (28-4-1) vs. ML King of Riverside (28-5)

Where/when: Bill Barber Park, Irvine, Saturday, May 31, 6:30 p.m.

Fan info: General tickets, $10; students and children (ages 5-13), $5; parking is free.

Outlook: Pacifica ace Kaylee Carlson has been lights out in the circle, posting four consecutive shutouts and taking a 34-inning scoreless streak into the final. Offensively, the Mariners lineup is putting pressure on their opponents early. Pacifica has scored in either the first or second innings in each game in the postseason, allowing Carlson to pitch with even more confidence. Nicole DeWitt, Dejah Mulipola and Faith Canfield will need to set the tone early against ML King’s riseball pitcher, Alexis Osorio. The Mariners have struggled at times against riseball pitchers this season. The Wolves have played in 14 one-run games this season, going 10-4 in such contests.
