Five predictions for the Pac-5 Division playoffs:

1. Which four teams will make it to the Pac-5 semifinals? St. John Bosco, Centennial of Corona, Serra, Oaks Christian

2. Which team will win the Pac-5 title? St. John Bosco. This might be the best collection of athletes in California football. And it is a well-coached explanation, too. The only obstacle might be over confidence.

3. Which team will be the "surprise team" in the Pac-5 bracket? Bishop Amat. The Lancers beat all of the good teams they should beat, like Serrvite and Alemany of Mission Hills, and lost to good teams expected to beat them, like Mater Dei and Serra of Gardena. Those losses to Mater Dei and Serra were by three points each.

4. Which player will be the postseason MVP in the Pac-5? Sean McGrew, St. John Bosco. When Braves coach Jason Negro makes McGrew the focal point, McGrew controls a game.

5. Which O.C. team shouldn't be overlooked in the Pac-5 playoffs? Orange Lutheran. They have the talent to compete with just about anybody in the division, save for the best of the best like St. John Bosco and Centennial.
