At the Santa Ana City Meet at Centennial Park, Ortega set a school, meet and course record with her time of 17:34.21. The mark breaks Ortega’s previous school record of 17:58, which she set last season. The record performance also helped the Jaguars girls varsity team claim a first-place team finish at the meet.
