This week’s Orange County girls basketball top 10:

O.C. TOP 10

1. Mater Dei, 15-5

The Monarchs host No. 7 Orange Lutheran on Tuesday before Saturday’s meeting with No. 3 Fairmont Prep.

2. Troy, 12-6

The Warriors extended their league winning streak to 204 games last Friday with a win over Sonora.

3. Fairmont Prep, 14-5

The Huskies ended a three-game skid with a pair of blowout wins last week, and they will host No. 6 Orangewood Academy on Thursday.

4. Brea Olinda, 14-5

A challenging week awaits the Ladycats, who play No. 5 Esperanza, a good Foothill team and No. 7 Orange Lutheran on Saturday.

5. Esperanza, 19-1

The Aztecs take their 16-game winning streak to Brea Olinda on Tuesday, the only team it has lost to this season.

6. Orangewood Academy, 12-6

The Spartans nearly pulled off a major upset Saturday, falling to a gifted Windward team, 32-30.

7. Orange Lutheran, 17-3

The Lancers get a crack at a pair of top-four teams when they travel to No. 1 Mater Dei on Tuesday before hosting No. 4 Brea Olinda on Saturday.

8. Rosary, 15-3

After dropping tight games to Mater Dei and Orange Lutheran, the Royals will look to get back on track this week against Santa Margarita and JSerra.

9. Los Alamitos, 16-4

Talented freshman point guard Asia Avinger returned from injury last week and led the Griffins to blowout wins over Edison and Fountain Valley.

10. Aliso Niguel, 13-5

The Wolverines can separate themselves from the South Coast League pack with a win against San Clemente on Thursday.
