The top O.C. boys tennis players to watch for during the 2015 season.

Eddie Gutierrez, Fullerton: The Indians senior flew under the radar last year as a transfer from Mexico. With a trip to the second round of the CIF Individual Championships under his belt now, don’t expect anyone to overlook the defending Freeway League champ now.

Konrad Kozlowski, University: The first-team All-County performer proved to be one of the area’s most versatile players a season ago, succeeding as both a singles and doubles player. He’ll be a stalwart atop the Trojans singles rotation this year.

Bjorn Hoffmann, Corona del Mar: Already off to an excellent start this season, the Sea Kings stud junior is one of the favorites to take home the Pacific Coast League singles crown. Hoffmann is a blue-chip prospect in the class of 2016, and is one of the top-ranked players in the nation.

Riley Smith, Los Alamitos: Like Hoffmann, the Griffins star is ranked as one of the top-25 juniors in the nation. With one of the biggest serves and most complete games around, look for Smith to make deep runs at Ojai and in CIF.

Reese Stalder, Newport Harbor: The TCU-commit enters the season as the county’s top-rated senior, ranked ninth in the state and 34th nationally. Stalder has all the tools to take home some serious hardware this season as he’ll be one of the favorites in every major tournament he plays in.
