With Omatsu leading the way, the top-ranked Mustangs enjoyed a strong week. He finished second individually at the South Coast League Preview meet, leading Trabuco Hills to a perfect 4-0 dual meet record. Omatsu finished the week by finishing fifth in the championship race of the 2012 Clovis Invitational, guiding the Mustangs to a second place overall finish among all teams at the meet.
