Mitch Olson confirmed Friday night he is returning to Orange County football to coach at Loara.
Olson, 54, coached at Kennedy for 21 seasons. His Fighting Irish teams won eight league championships and in 2006 won a CIF title. Olson was 163-85-3 at Kennedy.
He will continue to teach the remainder of the spring at the high school in Watkinsville, Ga., where he has been the football coach since leaving Kennedy in 2008. Once the spring semester ends there, Olson will be at Loara where a teaching position awaits as well as the football coaching job this fall.
