GARDEN GROVE – Blake Meyer threw for 221 yards and four touchdowns to lead Ocean View to a 45-0 nonleague victory over host Bolsa Grande on Friday night.

Bolsa Grande (0-4) was unable to get anything going, and Ocean View took advantage of the Matadors’ miscues. On Bolsa Grande’s first play from scrimmage, a shotgun snap sailed over quarterback Eduardo Arreola’s head and the Seahawks swooped in to recover.

Three plays later, Xavier Salgado scored on a 13-yard sweep.

Ocean View (2-2) doubled its lead on its next drive when Meyer threw a 25-yard pass to Dylan Durham on fourth-and-goal for a 12-0 lead.

The Seahawks’ offensive line gave Meyer ample time to find his downfield targets, and Durham caught a 4-yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 18-0.

Ocean View’s only TD of the second quarter was a spectacular one. Late in the half, Meyer eluded a heavy rush and hurled a 35-yard pass to a wide-open Salgado to give the Seahawks a 25-0 lead at halftime.

Ocean View’s Jason Bryan returned the opening kickoff of the second half 84 yards for another score, and his 26-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter provided the final points.

Bolsa Grande (0-4) was held to 52 yards of offense.
