The Northwood girls volleyball team defeated St. Margaret’s in the finals of the Segerstrom Tournament, Saturday.
Northwood swept Calvary Chapel/Downey (25-9, 25-12), Saddleback (25-12, 25-15), Buckley (25-13, 25-15) and Long Beach Jordan (25-19) to advance to the finals.
The Timberwolves edged the Tartans in three sets (25-15, 20-25, 15-9) in the finals.
Ashley Roeske (libero) and Chloe Fry (outside hitter) earned all-tournament honors for Northwood. Senior outside hitter Bergen Gubernick was selected tournament MVP.
Gabby Benck earned all-tournament honors for the Tartans. St. Margaret’s defeated Crean Lutheran in the semifinals.
