A roundup of highlights from Thursday’s games:

In nonleague action:

No. 10 Santa Margarita 4, No. 8 Capistrano Valley 3: A week after falling to the Cougars in the Saddleback Valley Tournament championship game, the Eagles jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the firsts inning and went on to claim a one-run victory.

Santa Margarita junior outfielder Abbie Singer hit a pair of solo homers and senior third baseman Meghan McClure brought in the team’s other two runs in finishing 2 for 4 at the plate.

Cougars freshman Giulia Koutsoyanopulos went 2 for 4 with a pair of RBI and a home run.

No. 5 Mater Dei 11, Western 1: The Monarchs racked up 15 hits, scored 10 runs in the first three innings and cruised to a road win over the Pioneers.

Emma Clark and Maddison Flores each finished with three hits. Clark drove in three runs, while Flores homered and finished with two RBI.

Gahr 7, No. 6 Pacifica 1: The visiting Gladiators notched their third consecutive win over an Orange County opponent after scoring the first four runs of the game to topple the host Mariners.

Gahr pitcher Danielle Martinez limited Pacifica six hits in a complete game effort. Mariners sophomore Alani Nguyen finished 3 for 3 at the plate with a solo home run in the fourth inning.

In the last week, Gahr has topped No. 10 Capistrano Valley, Aliso Niguel and Pacifica by a combined 25-3 margin.

Savanna 11, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) 4: The Rebels scored at least three runs in three of the first four innings and powered past the visiting Gaels in a run-shortened five-inning contest.

Marisa Meza belted a three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning and Sam Kennedy added a solo shot in the fourth. Kennedy, Shyanne Fennell and Maricela Egan all finished with multiple base hits. Fennell tossed 4 1/3 shutout innings to earn the win.

Aliso Niguel 10, Tesoro 1: Wolverines senior center fielder Kate Polucha hit a pair of four-baggers and added a double in finishing 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Aliso Niguel past the the host Titans.

Polucha drove in six of Aliso Niguel’s 10 runs. Negasse Williams added a pair of base hits, scored three runs and stole three bases.

Anaheim 10, Oxford Academy 9: Sophomore third baseman Melanie Cervantes’ grand slam highlighted a six-run fifth inning as the Colonists overcame an eight-run deficit to shock the Patriots. Anaheim scored nine runs over the fifth and sixth innings to complete the comeback victory.

Junior outfielder Diane Martinez was 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI.
