Santa Margarita, Mater Dei and San Juan Hills are the top seeds in their respective pools at this weekend’s Nike California Challenge at Alliant International University (10455 Pomerado Road) in San Diego.

The Eagles, who moved into the No. 1 spot in the county ranking, is the top seed in Pool 1, along with Del Norte, Ramona and  Laguna Hills.

San Juan Hills, ranked No. 2 in the county, is the top seed in Pool 4. The Stallions will face Sage Hill, Clovis East and Poway in  pool play.

Mater Dei is the top seed in Pool 2. The Monarchs will face Canyon Crest Academy, St. Joseph’s and Foothill of Nevada.

Trabuco Hills is the second seed in Pool 7.

The other top-seeded teams are Torrey Pines, Marymount of Los Angeles, Lakewood, La Costa Canyon and Rancho Cucamonga.

Pool play begins at 3 p.m. Playoffs begin Saturday morning
