Junior attacker Nick Ure scored six goals to help Aliso Niguel’s boys water polo team open the 2015 season Tuesday with a 15-8 victory against visiting Peninsula in a nonleague match.

Patrick Dempsey, Trent Kalinak and Colin Knight each added two goals apiece for the Wolverines (1-0).

Aliso Niguel is preparing for next week’s El Dorado-hosted Weiz’s Cup, which includes Beckman and JSerra among others.

In other games:

Trabcuo Hills 7, Tesoro 6: The Mustangs rallied from a one-goal deficit at halftime to take a two-goal lead in the second half and hold on for the season-opening victory. Goalie Alan Cerise made 13 saves for Trabuco Hills (1-0), which competes in the Sea View League with Aliso Niguel among others.

Canyon 15, Pacifica 7: Nick Krikorian led seven players in scoring with four goals as the host Comanches (1-0) cruised after a 6-0 first-period surge.
