Ramirez, a senior offensive lineman, was selected to the No. 78 jersey this season in honor of Kevin Stephenson, who was a captain for the Class of 1973. He passed away in 2004. The jersey is given to the player that best exemplifies Stephenson’s leadership and character. Ramirez was selected by the coaching staff because of his positive attitude and dedication to team and leadership. Ramirez, who has an offer from the University of San Diego, is enrolled in AP Spanish, AP US Government, AP English Literature, CP Calculus, CP Critical Reflections and CP Advanced Choir. He’s a member of the National Honor Society and California Scholastic Federation. Ramirez plans on majoring in Business.
