Brea Olinda’s Austin Tamagno finished fifth overall among the boys in Saturday’s Foot Locker Cross Country Championships National Finals at Balboa Park in San Diego.
Tamagno finished the 5K course with a time of 15:15. The Brea Olinda junior took sixth in the West Regional on Dec. 6 at Balboa Park to qualify for the national championships.
Defending champion Grant Fisher of Grand Blanc, Mich. used a late charge to win the boys title with a time of 15:03.
On the girls side, 2012 national champion Anna Rohrer of Mishawaka, Ind. won the national crown with a time of 17:13.
