Scouting report: With Yorba Linda moving to the Crestview League, the Tigers enter the season as the league favorite. Fifteen starters return, including quarterback Pat Godoy, who threw only three interceptions in 2013 and accounted for over 1,600 totals yards (passing and rushing). He should be one of the front-runners for league MVP. Receivers Jake Watkins and Chach Ben-Yisrael also return. Because Mike Marrujo’s teams are always fundamentally sound, the Tigers’ defense should overcome the loss of last season’s standout defensive end Mike Sota. Look for Valencia to have success in league and the postseason.
