Scouting report: First-year coach Brian Pearsall will try to extend the team’s streak of eight straight San Joaquin League titles. Defense should remain a team strength with the return of San Joaquin League defensive player of the year Jonathan Bunnel (16 sacks in 2013). Receivers/safety Charlie Morris, a four-year starter on both sides of the ball, is the unquestioned leader of this team. Things could get interesting if SVC finds itself in close games, as the Warriors are unsettled when it comes to its kicking duties. Jake Markum returns at quarterback, providing a comfort zone for the Warriors on offense.
