DIVISION 12

SEMIFINAL

Segerstrom (11-1) vs. Arroyo of El Monte (11-1)

Where, when: Arroyo High, Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Outlook: Segerstrom is in the semifinals for the first time in its 11 years of varsity football. The Jaguars and their double-wing rushing attack is led by JC Caravez, who has 266 yards rushing in the playoffs. Julian Vaglienty and Denilson Santamaria also play a big role in the offense. Top-seeded Arroyo, which has scored 40 points or more in five of its last six games, is similarly committed to the run game. Arroyo has had two 100-yard rushers in each of its two playoff games with Steven Ocariz (224 yards) leading the way.
