Michaels, a senior, helped lead a young Breakers squad into the second round of the CIF-SS Girls Tennis Championship, decisively sweeping three first-round sets against Northwood Thursday. Laguna Beach lost in the second round of the tournament to Peninsula in a rain-shortened match Saturday.
